Social Stories in Mandarin Chinese

Chinese Characters on Chalk Board

Social stories are valuable tools you can use with your students or children to help prepare them for particular experiences or scenarios.

Jocelyn Spencer, an English teacher working in the Yunnan Province in China created an online resource guide to support students with disabilities in rural parts of China. Working with Jojo Yin, Jocelyn translated a number of the Watson Institute’s social stories into Mandarin Chinese to serve as a resource to children and educators.

Check out both the English and Mandarin translations of the social stories which focus on helping students concentrate on their school work and how to raise their hand in class.
