Watson Students Help Homeless Children

Students from The Education Center at The Watson Institute participated in a holiday fundraising project to raise funds for area children experiencing homelessness.  Watson students created custom holiday cards that were printed by local printing company PGC Printing and sold out within a few weeks.  Proceeds from the sale totaled $350, which the students used to shop for and deliver games, toys and school supplies as Christmas gifts to the Homeless Children’s Education Fund (HCEF) in Pittsburgh.  HCEF staff then distributed the gifts to shelters throughout Allegheny County.  We called this project, quite appropriately, Kids Helping Kids.
