The annual Watson Institute LEAP Preschool Jump-a-Thon will be held on Wednesday, April 27th, benefitting the Watson Institute’s Walk Now for Autism Speaks team. Parents are encouraged to sponsor their children as they participate in practicing jumping movements and foot patterns, encouraging children to take big steps, tiptoe, go backwards, and jump side-to-side.
These movements are designed to help children develop essential coordination and motor planning skills. The Watson Institute’s LEAP Preschool offers early intervention services for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their typically-developing peers. The Jump-a-Thon provides an inclusive learning experience for all LEAP preschoolers, enhancing their skills and coordination, while raising money for a great cause!
