Psychological Services Clerk Job

Watson is hiring a full-time clerk in our psychological services department at our Sewickley location. This position will be responsible for patient sign in, answering phones, insurance verification, general office duties, and receptionist duties. This position will work Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Psychological Services Clerk Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide office phone coverage including directing client calls to appropriate personnel, making appointment reminder calls, etc.
  • Greet clients upon arrival to office, handle and assist with appointment paperwork completion
  • Process intake packets when returned from families and create chart
  • Verify insurances for all appointments and monthly verification for all group patients & individual therapy patients
  • Set up all appointments
  • Handle billing sheets and necessary paperwork for evaluators – feedback, family therapy, testing appointments, release forms, and follow up recommendation forms
  • Schedule ITM’s with our staff for other agency IBHS clients
  • Daily management of Individual Therapy & Medication Management appointments
  • Data entry of all papers signed by parents
  • Manage process of follow up recommendation forms and distribute to staff as needed
  • Scan and e-filing electronic chart information
  • Maintain Medication Management missed and cancelled appointments program
  • Copying and mailing medical record requests
  • Mailing and/or faxing evaluations and any other documentation needed
  • Clear faxes from program daily, distribute and fix issues
  • Assist with mailings for IBHS and Camp when needed
  • Cover Intake line when Admissions Coordinator is unavailable
  • Perform other miscellaneous office duties as instructed by supervisor

Psychological Services Clerk Job Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • High school diploma required
  • Previous medical or mental health office experience preferred
  • Experience working in fast-paced front office environment
  • Current PA Acts 34, 114 and 151 clearances required
