Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) is a treatment approach which treats the underlying neuromotor deficits as well as posture and movement disorders. Techniques used both inhibit abnormal movement pattersn whilt facilitating typical patterns to encourage functional skills development. The emphasis of NDT treatment is to promote function with improved alignment and tonal normalization along with weight shifting. The use of movement as well as postural holding is incorporated into the activities. Neurodevelopment intervention constantly assesses the child, analyzing the response and changing the handling to modify the response from the child.
