Craig Academy is an approved Private school licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The program follows the same guidelines as the student's home school district. Chapter 4 guidelines outline the courses for each level of student at Craig Academy. Students may be scheduled for classes in the following subjects: English and reading, mathematics, science, social studies, career education, health and physical education, music, art, family and consumer science, wood shop and computer technology.

In 2006, students received brand new textbooks in each subject area. Students also received workbooks and study materials for home use. In addition to the academic program, the behavioral program and partial hospital program are included in the school day. Each period, students work on academic as well as behavioral and treatment goals in order to meet the academic, behavioral and emotional needs of every student.
