In addition to the range of symptoms and cognitive levels, the behaviors and symptoms associated with autism spectrum disorder also change as children grow and develop. ![]()
People who receive autism/PDD diagnoses, like all people, learn and change over time. The symptoms (social, communication, behavior) of autism may progress through different levels over time or, in some cases, may stop progressing at any level. ![]()
The range of symptoms, severity and the developmental level for each individual area will have a substantial impact on intervention services. Breaking these diagnostic categories up into manageable sections by looking at each individual aspect allows us to discuss the spectrum of symptoms and subsequently include information regarding how to address each area. ![]() |
