ACCLAIM at The Watson Institute
The Watson Institute's ACCLAIM summer program is designed for college-bound teenagers with Asperger's disorder and High-functioning Autistic Disorder. It focuses on the development of skills necessary to succeed at college and includes therapeutic, learning and social comonents.

Ireland Camp WISP 2011
The Watson Institute conducted our first Camp WISP program in Ireland in 2011. WISP: Watson Inclusive Summer Program is an intensive, eight week summer camp operating as part of a camp for typically developing children. Specially trained staff provide individualized programming for each child. Areas of focus include teaching social interactions, communication skills, coping skills, problem solving skills and behavioral competencies through facilitated participation in age-appropriate activities.

Camp SCALE at The Watson Institute
The SCALE summer program (Social, Community-Based and Adaptive Life Experiences) is specifically designed for adolescents on the autism spectrum who also have significant deficits in communication skills and adaptive functioning. SCAPE emphasizes a "hands on" approach to developing social skills and promoting successful functioning in the community.

Watson's CEO on Comcast Spotlight
The Watson Institute's CEO, Ray White, appeared on Comcast Newsmakers during the month of May, 2010. Comcast provides a free forum for non-profit organizations and community leaders as well as local, state and federal officials to present events and issues important to the Pittsburgh region. Focus on Children
During the first quarter of 2009 The watson Institute hosted a weekly talk show on WPXI's Cable TV Station PCNC. Focus on Children featured Watson professionals who shared informatin on various topics regarding children's developmental, educational and mental health issues. The program was hosted by local radio DJ Shelley Duffy.
