Allow students who transition often (speech, special education room, regular education room, OT services, etc.) to take a transition object with them. For example, if the student has been working on a drawing, he/she can have the option of taking it with them or leaving it in their desk. This can provide a bridge to a day that is often segmented for the student. We all need this security bridge (do you go back for your cell phone when you forget it?).
